In the Thick of It
Dave and I are in the middle of wedding planning. With under 100 days to go, it feels as though our nuptials are both a long way off and just around the corner.
My dress is tucked into the back of our coat closet. Our invitation is being reviewed by the designer. Our venue is booked, our photographer is selected, and our wedding rings have been soldered together.
Now, I guess, is the appropriate time in the plan to begin freaking out. I'm on the hunt for a long-lasting lipstick that won't rub off during my first kiss with my future husband. I have a haircut scheduled from the week we get back from our honeymoon so I can say goodbye to a solid five inches of hair. I go back and forth each day about where we should host our rehearsal dinner and I'm spending evenings in the gym trying to do my best to get into shape.
Before I was engaged, I thought wedding planning would be a breeze. I didn't understand the logistical nightmare planning the biggest party of your life can be, but I am so grateful Dave and I are planning it together. At least planning the honeymoon to Palm Springs was a lot easier.
