Hi. I'm Tomissa.

Thank you for stopping by and reading my blog. I post about the places I go, the coffee I drink, and the books I read.

Coffee Tour: Cafe Domestique

Coffee Tour: Cafe Domestique

To be honest, I've been going to Cafe Domestique since it opened and never really thought much about its name. Thanks to the wonders of Google, I finally found out the cycling-related definition.

Connected to Cargo Bike Shop, Cafe Domestique is a perfect spot for a sunny coffee date with a friend or a quiet retreat to be productive. I enjoy heading in for a quick cup of coffee before heading next door to Batch Bakehouse to get a box full of pastries to take home.

One of the great finds I came across while sitting and sipping coffee with Dave one morning is Magazine B. Each issue focuses in on a specific brand and its ideals, discussing inception, design, and, well, branding. Cafe Domestique has the Intelligentsia issue and I always feel compelled to flip through it one more time.

Speaking of Intelligentsia, the shop carries their beans along with tea from their sister company, Kilogram Tea. The shop also keeps a rotating roaster's beans in stock, getting other delicious brands such as Stumptown Coffee Roasters into the mugs of Madisonians.

If I am in an indulgent mood, I typically order the rosemary brown sugar latte, but I also enjoy their cold brew and brewed coffee.

Whichever selection you make, it is bound to be a good one.
